Beverly A. O’Leary

Beverly A. O’Leary, 76, Harvard, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born June 8, 1938, in Chicago to Joseph E. and Rosalie A. (Haudy) LaPointe.

She worked as a payroll manager of Safe Guard Business Systems and later was the director of religious education of St. Joseph Parish for more than 10 years.

On June 29, 1957, she married Deacon John “Jack” O’Leary at St. Peter Canisius in Chicago.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marengo. She loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, bowling and traveling.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Deborah Rieke and Dianne (Tony) Kazian, both of Harvard, Kathleen (Rich) Lozano, Plainfield, and Sharon O’Leary, Crystal Lake; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Michael (Amy), Jennifer (Timothy), Daniel (Randi), Nicholas, Trevor, Shannon, Dannielle, Alex and Peyton; seven great-grandchildren, Kylieanne, Mason, Emily, Emma, Sophia, Caiden and Parker; a sister, Joan (Gerald) Knapp, Glendale Heights; a brother, Joseph (Carol) LaPointe, Valparaiso, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, Rosalie Mitchell.

Visitation was Nov. 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marengo, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection officiated by the Rev. Richard Kramer and the Rev. Richard Russo.

Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marengo.
