David Brehm

David Brehm, 66, Sharon, Wis., died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, in Sharon.

He was born March 31, 1948, in Marshfield, Wis., to Otto Alfred and Marjorie (Hamilton) Brehm.

On Sept. 16, 1978, he married Barbara Emmer.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a postal clerk at the Harvard Post Office for many years. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge and the Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid Cubs and Packers fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, and feeding and watching birds. He was a loving, compassionate person who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Brehm and Eric (Jamie) Brehm; a daughter, Carly (Mike) Matthews; the mother of his children, Barbara Brehm; two grandchildren, Ellie Brehm and Samuel Brehm; three sisters, Ilene Phillips, Roberta Schneider and Iris Bandt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Foster.

A memorial visitation was held Dec. 18, 2014, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard.

A memorial service was held Dec. 19 at the funeral home.

Interment was private.
