Jewel M. Ehle

Jewel M. Ehle, 97, Elkhorn, Wis., formerly of Harvard, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn.  

She was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Alden to Henry William and Nora Mae (Teeple) Knopp.

On Sept. 1, 1935, she married Blaine E. Ehle in Woodstock.

She worked for Kroger Foods for 17 years and later worked at Topway Foods in Harvard until retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harvard and the Harvard Women of the Moose where she was a senior regent.  

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Pankratz, Kathyleen (Allen) Cosman, North Point, Fla., and Sandra (John) Dutcher, Woodruff, Wis.; a son, James (Sandra Nordmeyer) Ehle, Genoa; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Kitzman and Bonnie Ahert, Clinton, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband March 8, 2007; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Ehle; two sisters, Ona Haggeman and Cherrie Krueger; and a brother, Clifton Knopp.

Visitation was Aug. 30 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home. Services were private. Interment was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
