Martha Emma Alma Campbell

Martha Emma Alma Campbell, 93, Clinton, Wis., formerly of Harvard, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton. She was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Capron to Henry and Eda (Dagler) Kasten. She was raised on a 460-acre farm and had 10 brothers and sisters. She married Earl “Hoppy” Campbell July 26, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa. After renting in Capron, they moved to their first house in Chemung, where they lived for 43 years. She worked for Admiral Corporation in Harvard for almost 20 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard. She enjoyed baking and was well-known for her baked beans. Survivors include her husband; a son, James A. (Sherilyn) Campbell, Rockford; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Campbell, Couderay, Wis.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Brenda; a son, Earl E. Campbell; six brothers; and four sisters. Visitation was Nov. 3 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home. The service was Nov. 4 at the funeral home. Interment was in Dunham-Chemung Cemetery.
